Q. What is the zine’s theme?
This zine is a cookbook about Sora and Kairi and Roxas and Naminé’s journeys through various worlds!Q. What do you mean by Duality?
Duality refers to the ships SoKai and RokuNami and is based on art drawn by the series' creator that features all four characters together. In the context of this project, Duality artists and writers will likewise be portraying both ships.Q. Can I apply even if I only like SoKai or only like RokuNami?
Absolutely! During the application process you may indicate which pairing(s) you’d like to portray. We just ask that all contributors be respectful of both ships and of each other regardless of their personal tastes.Q. Is this zine for profit or for charity?
The project is for charity with post-production proceeds going to Feeding America, a charity that works with local food banks and policymakers across the US to ensure equitable access to food.Q. Will there be physical merchandise?
Yes! The zine will offer both digital and physical merch, with further details to be announced once preorders are live.Q. How many artists, writers, and chefs will be participating?
The zine is aiming to have 10-15 SoKai artists and 3-4 SoKai writers, 10-15 RokuNami artists and 3-4 RokuNami writers, 10-15 Duality artists and 3-4 Duality writers, and 5-7 chefs overall.Q. What will I receive as a contributor?
As the project is for charity, contributors will be compensated with a copy of the zine along with all available merchandise. This is free for all contributors; they do not have to pay for their bundles. Contributor bundles will be covered by zine sales.Q. How will the zine be distributed?
Digital orders will be distributed by emails, while physical orders will be shipped through couriers. Distribution of digital bundles will be done approximately two weeks after physical bundles.Q. How much will this zine cost?
The zine will offer varied bundles with corresponding prices which we estimate would go up to $100 for the highest tier bundle.Q. Will there be verification of the donation?
Yes! We will be making the donation and posting the verification once all production and shipping expenses are paid for.Q. Will there be a giveaway?
Yes, there will be! The exact details will be announced along with when preorders are live. Stay tuned!Q. Can I buy a copy of the zine after preorders are closed?
Yes! The zine will open its leftover store once all physical orders have been shipped and any remaining inventory has been calculated. We won’t be doing a second round of preorders, so make sure you get what you want before we run out. Stay tuned for more info!Q. When will orders ship out?

Hi, my name is Liv and this will be the fourth zine that I’ve moderated!My most recent experience is The Way You Remember Me: A RokuNami Crimson String of Fate Fanzine where I handled layout, shipping, and art. I was also a moderator on Born From The Waves: A Namine Zine where I was in charge of layout, communications, and art.For this zine, I’ll be handling layout, shipping, and coordination with the chef team. I'll also be assisting with graphics and co-managing the beta reading with Phoenix.SoKai and RokuNami have always had a very special place in my heart with Kingdom Hearts 2 being my introduction to the series. I love both the harmony between the two pairs together as well as what makes them unique. I’m really excited to be part of this project and to have fun bring SoKai and RokuNami’s journeys across the worlds to life!

Hello hello! My name is Phoenix, and this is my fourth time modding a zine!My recent work includes assisting with the organization, beta reading, graphics, socials, and Japanese translations for The Way You Remember Me: A RokuNami Crimson Strings of Fate Fanzine, and I have also done beta reading and Japanese translations for a couple of other projects.For this zine, I will be handling the organization, finances, socials, and Japanese translations. I will also be assisting with graphics and co-managing the beta reading with Liv.SoKai and RokuNami mean a lot to me, especially because I've met such wonderful friends through them, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this zine! Thank you for your interest in this project!

Hello-hello! My name is Hadai and this will be my first zine I have helped moderate.For this project, I will be handling art and communications, so don’t be afraid to reach out! I was an art contributor in the Born from Waves: A Namine Zine and was recently involved in The Way You Remember Me: A Rokunami Crimson Strings of Fate Fanzine!Sorkai and Rokunami are two pairings that I hold near and dear to my heart. Not only for the nostalgia, but because they are the reason why I met so many wonderful people and had such great fandom experiences. I am looking forward to taking part in another Kingdom Hearts zine. I hope you all are looking forward to this project too!

Application Guidelines

GENERAL INFORMATION
There are four separate contributor application forms: Chefs, Page Artists, Merch/Spot Artists, and Writers.Chefs will need to provide one (1) original sample recipe. A past recipe for a completed zine would be perfectly fine, as would a recipe you have created or heavily modified to the point you can claim it as your original recipe.Page Artists will need to provide three (3) samples of art, at least one of which should include a background. At least one piece featuring two characters in a romantic setting is highly recommended.Merch/Spot Artists should provide three (3) samples of art, at least one of which should be a merch design.Writers will need to provide three (3) samples of writing. Each sample should be at least 1,000 words long and no more than 3,500 words long. At least one of your samples should include SoKai, RokuNami, or Duality (both).You will be asked to answer a few quick questions about yourself (email, social media, etc), respond to some zine-related questions, and share what you like about SoKai and/or RokuNami. All forms are one page long, and you should receive copies of your answers when you are finished.This zine is safe for work (SFW), so please make sure your application samples are as well. You are welcome to apply for multiple roles, but should you be offered a spot on the zine, it will be for one role only.Page Artists will be required to do one fully rendered illustration and will have the option to do a merch piece. Merch Artists/Spot Illustrators will be required to do 1-2 merch piece(s) and will have the option to do smaller food spot illustrations. Page Artists can also sign up for a collaboration with the Writers and illustrate a banner and 2-5 spot illustrations for a story. Collaboration partners will be decided once the creation period is underway.You will need either a Discord account or a frequently-checked email address, as this is how the mods will contact you throughout the project.Contributor Applications open on July 2nd, 2022 at 12:00 AM CDT and close on July 30, 2022 at 11:59 PM CDT.
